I have this on DVD, but it was super-cool we have it here, too (although the prime deal ends the month I'm writing this). This was one of the movies that reawakened in me that film can be magical and alive. Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amélie) it principally involves the owner of an apartment building attracting victims to slaughter to sell as meat to his occupants. It quickly calls to mind Terry Gilliam’s Brazil , as it has a weird and darkly comedic tone from the beginning and is fascinatingly unusual in similar ways.
